Exercise Finished Dog Training Center offers obedience classes from puppy training and beginner obedience for the family pet through upper levels of competition obedience training.

Puppy Training for puppies 8-14 weeks of age
     Class offered: Wednesdays 6:00 & 7:30 p.m.
The goal of our puppy training class is to teach the puppy proper social skills and behavior necessary for being an enjoyable pet and companion. We use a motivational approach to puppy training. Classes combine puppy playgroup, obedience training and an introduction to puppy agility. Cost: $95 for 7 weeks of class (includes homework booklet, bait bag and clicker). Please no puppies the first week.

Beginner Obedience - Level 1
     Classes offered: Mondays at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 10:30 a.m.
The goal of this class is to help owners gain control of their dogs through the use of basic obedience exercises and to teach their dogs to exercise self-control. Cost: $95 for six week class (includes homework booklet and bait bag). Class size is limited, pre-registration is required.

Beginner Obedience - Level 2
     Classes offered: Mondays at 6:00 p.m.
Pre-requisite: Completion of Puppy Training or Beginner Obedience - Level 1
This class focuses on improving the dog's performance of basic obedience commands and introducing dog/handler teams to Rally Obedience. Cost: $95 for six weeks class (includes homework booklet).

Canine Good Citizenship Preparation
     Classes offered: Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
Pre-requisite: Completion of the Beginner Obedience - Level 2 class
This class advances the skills learned in the previous class and places more emphasis on the dog exercising self-control. The goal of this class is to prepare the dog and handler for the AKC Canine Good Citizenship Test. Cost: $95 for 5 weeks of class and the CGC test during the 6th week of class (includes homework booklet).

Introduction to Competition Obedience

Classes offered: Thursdays 8:00

Dogs attending this class must already have a foundation in basic obedience exercises. This class will focus on learning how to get started in competition obedience, developing solid foundation behaviors in your dog. Add new tools to your training tool kit. Improving the human half of the team (footwork, clear signals). Begin building the skills needed for advanced work (jump, retrieve, sniff, etc.).....most of all, have fun with your dog!

Drop-In Competition Obedience
Classes offered: Thursdays - Novice 6:00 & Open/Utility at 7:00 p.m.
These classes are designed for dogs that are working toward competing in obedience or people just looking to advance their dog's current obedience skills. The class size varies due to the drop-in format and material covered will vary depending on the dogs attending class. The drop-in format allows you to pay for only those classes you attend. Please check the announcement page to make sure the class is not cancelled for the night you plan to attend. Cost: $10 per one hour class.
